Iranian film 'Lottery' has been the top grossing film of the domestic box office for this week.
According to a local media report, the weekly gross from April 6 to 12 for 'Lottery', directed by Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian, reached 18,873,480,000 Rials. Th flick succeeded to rake 69,346,290,000 Rials after 4 weeks of screening.
“Amir-Ali and Noushin want to get married but their families disagree. They decide to remain patient. They have dreams about winning the US Foreign Ministry lottery for Green Card,” a short synopsis of the flick reads.
To give his audience a mental image, Mahdavian says that his movie is about protective men. He explains how this theme is dominant in his new work. The protagonist of the movie is in pursuit of finding the right way and to do the right thing.
Among the actors who star in the movie are Hamid Farrokhnejad, Mohammad-Javad Ezzati, Saed Soheili, Hadi Hejazifar, Nader Soleymani, Mehdi Zaminpardaz and Ziba Karam-Ali.
